meteorology

As someone who even does some outdoor sport in autumn and winter, I pretty much depend on the weather forecasts of the local institutes here. Because I might be flexible going on my bike even in November but if its too cold or if its raining I am staying home. So, I am am begging those scientists: Please don’t tell us almost every day that there is big chances that the sun might come out after fog dissolves cause in 80 – 90% of the times you say that it won’t. The result is – as yesterday – that the temperature stays around 1 – 2 degrees instead of your predicted 8 or 9 degrees and believe me guys, that difference is big.

ciudad de luz

When I moved here to Berlin I had to get used to the brightness here at night. I came from one of the darkest cities in Germany – yes, they know what electricity is there but they hardly use it for their lights – so, walking around in Berlin at night is a lot of fun. Especially now as it’s getting darker much sooner and I am downtown for some errands I enjoy the buildings downtown how they compete with each other by using different illuminations. And when there is fog, even the clouds above them shine.

For some reason all the leaves of our trees here by us decided to fall down to the ground in a short amount of time. This had the effect, that an armada of cleaning cars drives through the streets and sucks up all the piled up leafs.

When I saw the announcement for a wine (!) market at the market place in our city part I would not have come to the idea that one of the biggest stands there will be the one of a local car dealer presenting his cars. Makes no sense to me.
